Inconvenience

Mount Olive's project has been tough on 31st Street traffic and the alley users for the last couple of days.   But the parking lot is now connected to the church by pipeline!  Below are photos of the process of using an auger to drill under the street, dragging pipeline through the hole and keeping everything wet and muddy!  The process is pretty slick - and not just from the muck!    You will also see a photo of the side aisle in the sanctuary after the removal of the old radiators.

Recent festivities: It was something of a three ring circus inside and outside today. More demolition, asbestos removal, digging next to the alley, say good-bye to our old boilers, and the great banners around our construction fence. Also, note the vestige of the gas line into the church discovered by the backhoe operator. Yes, it probably should have been buried deeper than this.

Backhoe "discovers" a too-shallow gas line.   Yikes!
